AmendmentsLeasuithe S.I. No. 5 of 1988. REGISTRATION OF ELECTORS (COUNTY OF CAVAN) (SPECIAL DIFFICULTY) ORDER, 1988. WHEREAS it appears to the Minister for the Environment that, by reason of the failure of the registration authority to publish on or before the specified date a draft register of electors for the year 1988/89 in accordance with the provisions of subarticle

(6)of article 8 of the Registration of Electors and Juries Acts (Specification of Dates Regulations, 1963 ( S.I. No. 169 of 1963 ), there is a special difficulty in relation to the preparation of the register of electors for the County of Cavan for the year 1988/89, the Minister for the Environment, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 92 of the Electoral Act, 1963 (No. 19 of 1963), as amended by section 21 of the European Assembly Elections Act, 1977 (No. 30 of 1977) and ( section 3 of the Electoral (Amendment) Act, 1985 ) (No. 12 of 1985), hereby orders as follows:
  1. This Order may be cited as the Registration of Electors (County of Cavan) (Special Difficulty) Order,
  3. In this Order "the Regulations" means the Registration of Electors and Juries Acts (Specification of Dates) Regulations,
  5. In relation to the register of electors for the County of Cavan for the year 1988/89, notwithstanding the provisions of articles 3 and 4 of the Regulations, the date on or by reference to which any act or thing is required by subarticle
(6)of article 8 and subarticles
(2),
(4)and
(5)of article 10 of the Regulations to be performed or done shall be the dates specified for those purposes in the Schedule to this Order. SCHEDULE Purpose Relevant Article of the Regulations Date (
