NATURE RESERVE (TEARAGHT ISLAND) ESTABLISHMENT ORDER, 1989. I NOEL TREACY, Minister of State at the Department of Finance, after consultation with the Minister for Agriculture and Food, the Minister for the Marine and the Commissioners of Public Works in Ireland, being satisfied that the land specified in Article 2 of the following Order, being land to which section 15 of the Wildlife Act, 1976 (No. 39 of 1976), applies, includes a marine ecosystem which is of scientific interest and that the said ecosystem is likely to benefit if measures are taken for its protection and that it is desirable to establish the said land as a nature reserve and that the proper management of the said land as a nature reserve would not be precluded by any interest of any other person in or over the said land, for the purpose of conserving the said ecosystem hereby, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 15 of the said Act, the Wildlife (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1987 (S.I. No. 156 of

(1987), and the Finance (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) (No. 2) Order, 1988 ( S.I. No. 352 of 1988 ), order is follows. 1.
(1)This Order may be cited as the Nature Reserve (Tearaght Island) Establishment Order, 1989.
(2)This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of June, 1989. 2.
(1)It is hereby decklared that the land specified in paragraph
(2)of this Article shall constitute and there is hereby established a nature reserve.
(2)The land referred to in paragraph
(1)of this Article is the seashore of Tearaght Island in the county of Kerry, enclosed on the map annexed hereto within the inner margin of the black line and hatched thereon in black. TEARAGHT ISLAND FORESHORE NATURE RESERVE CO. KERRY O.S. 6A. Area 19.1 Hectares Approx. Scale: 6 inches = 1 Mile. SCHEDULE Map Referred to in Article
