(7)) ORDER, 1989 I, MICHAEL SMITH, Minister for Energy, in exercise of the power conferred on me by section 2
(7)of the Gas (Amendment) Act, 1987 , (No. 9 of 1987), hereby order as follows: 1 Citation. 1. This Order may be cited as the Gas (Amendment) Act, 1987 (Section 2
(7)) Order,
  1. 2 Commencement.
  2. This Order shall come into operation on the first day of August,
  3. 3 Amendment.
  4. The Gas (Amendment) Act, 1987 (Section 2) Order, 1987 ( S.I. No. 283 of 1987 ), is hereby amended by the substitution of the following Schedule for the Schedule to that order: "SCHEDULE Article 4
(1)Area of application Functions applicable The county borough of Dublin, the administrative county of Dublin and so much of the administrative counties of Meath, Kildare and Wicklow as lies within a radius of 25 km of the General Post Office, Dublin. All the functions contained in this Order. So much of the administrative county of Kilkenny as lies within a radius of 10 km of the City Hall, High Street, Kilkenny. All the functions contained in this Order The county borough of Cork and so much of the administrative county of Cork as lies within a radius of 25 km of the City Hall, Cork. All the functions contained in this Order The county borough of Limerick and so much of the administrative counties of Limerick, Clare and Tipperary North Riding as lies within a radius of 15 km of the City Hall, Limerick. All the functions contained in this Order So much of the administrative counties of Tipperary South Riding and Waterford as lies within a radius of 10 km of the Town Hall, Clonmel. All the functions contained in this Order. So much of the administrative counties of Carlow, Laois and Kildare as lies within a radius of 10 km of the Town Hall, Carlow. All the functions contained in this Order The county borough of Waterford and so much of the administrative counties of Waterford, Kilkenny and Wexford as lies within a radius of 10 km of the City Hall, Waterford. All the functions contained in this Order. The administrative county of Louth. All the functions contained in this Order. So much of the administrative county of Meath as lies within a radius of 15 km of the Town Hall, Drogheda, and which is not otherwise provided for by this Schedule. All the functions contained in this Order. So much of the administrative county of Cork as lies within a radius of 5 km of the Town Hall, Mallow. All the functions contained in this Order. So much of the administrative counties of Tipperary South Riding, Kilkenny and Waterford as lies within a radius of 5 km of the Town Hall, Carrick-on-Suir. All the functions contained in this Order. This Order amends the schedule to the Gas (Amendment) Act, 1987 (Section 2) Order, 1987 by the substitution of a new schedule containing additional areas where the functions conferred by the 1987 Order on Bord Gais Éireann may be exercised.
