The Government, on the request of the Minister for Industry and Commerce and in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 2

(1)of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) (No. 2) Act, 1977 (No. 28 of 1977), hereby order as follows:
  1. This Order may be cited as the Industry and Commerce (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order,
  3. The powers and duties of the Minister for Industry and Commerce conferred by or under the Acts specified in the First Schedule to this Order or conferred under the European Communities Act, 1972 (No. 27 of 1972), by the Regulations specified in the Second Schedule to this Order are hereby delegated to Michael Smith, Minister of State at the Department of Industry and Commerce. FIRST SCHEDULE Copyright Acts, 1963 and
  4. Industrial and Commercial Property (Protection) Act, 1927 (No. 16 of 1927). Industrial Research and Standards Acts, 1961 and
