HEALTH (DELEGATION OF FUNCTIONS) ORDER, 1989. The Government, on the request of the Minister for Health and in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 2
(1)of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) (No. 2) Act, 1977 (No. 28 of 1977), hereby order as follows:
- This Order may be cited as the Health (Delegation of Functions) Order,
- The powers and duties of the Minister for Health under each of the enactments specified in the Schedule to this Order and under any instrument made under any such enactment are hereby delegated to Noel Treacy, Minister of State at the Department of Health. SCHEDULE Sale of Food and Drugs Acts, 1875 to
- Cruelty to Animals Act,
- Poisons and Pharmacy Act,
- Rats and Mice (Destruction), Act,
- Pharmacopoeia Acts, 1931 and
- Therapeutic Substances Act, 1932 . Milk and Diaries Acts, 1935 and
- Parts V and VI of the Health Act, 1947 and Section 5 of that Act. Poisons Acts, 1961 and
- Misuse of Drugs Acts, 1977 and
- Section 59 of the Health Act, 1953 . GIVEN under the Official Seal of the Government, this 29th day of September,
