No. 263 of 1989. HEALTH (PRESERVATIVES IN FOOD) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1989. The Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 5 , 54 , 56 and 59 of the Health Act, 1947 (No. 28 of 1947), subsection
(3)of section 38 of the Health Act, 1953 (No. 26 of 1953) and section 6 of the Health Act, 1970 (No. 1 of 1970 ), after consultation with the Minister for Industry and Commerce and the Minister for Agriculture and Food hereby makes the following Regulations:—
- These Regulations may be cited as the Health (Preservatives in Food) (Amendment) Regulations,
- Part 1 of Schedule 2 of the Health (Preservatives in Food) Regulations, 1981 (S.I. No. 337 of 1981) is hereby amended by the insertion between the reference to E220 in column 1 and the matters relating thereto in columns 2 to 5 and the reference to E230 in column 1 and the matters relating thereto in columns 2 to 5 of the following matter:— "E228 Postassium acid sulphite (Postassium bisulphite) ."
