HARBOUR AUTHORITIES (ALLOWANCES TO MEMBERS) RULES, 1990. I, JOHN P. WILSON, Minister for the Marine, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 9
(7)of the Harbours Act, 1947 (No. 34 of 1947), and the Communications (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1987 ( S.I. No. 91 of 1987 ), hereby make the following rules:—
- These rules may be cited as the Harbour Authorities (Allowances to Members) Rules,
- The allowance to be paid under paragraph (a) or paragraph (b) of section 9
(7)of the Harbours Act, 1947 , to a member of a harbour authority in respect of absence from his official residence by reason of attendance at a meeting or meetings to which either such paragraph relates shall with effect as on and from the 1st day of January, 1990, not exceed— ( a ) £13.50 in respect of a continuous period of less than seven hours and not less than three hours, and ( b ) £18.00 in respect of a continuous period of not less than seven hours.
- The form set out in the Schedule hereto is the form to be used in respect of applications under these Rules.
- The Harbour Authorities (Allowances to Members) Rules, 1984 ( S.I. No. 7 of 1984 ), are hereby revoked. SCHEDULE To............................................................ ..................................................... (Harbour Authority) Application for allowances under section 9
