No. 241 of 1990. SOCIAL WELFARE ACT, 1990 (PART IV) (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1990. The Minister for Social Welfare, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 198M of the Social Welfare (Consolidation) Act, 1981 (No. 1 of 1981) (inserted by section 17 of the Social Welfare Act, 1990 (No. 5 of 1990)) and by section 18 of the Social Welfare Act, 1990 , hereby orders as follows:— 1. This Order may be cited as the Social Welfare Act, 1990 (Part IV) (Commencement) Order, 1990. 2. Chapter 5B of the Social Welfare (Consolidation) Act, 1981 (inserted by section 17 of the of the Social Welfare Act, 1990 ) and section 18 of the Social Welfare Act, 1990 ) and section 18 of the Social Welfare Act, 1990 shall come into operation on the 1st day of November, 1990.
