TELECOMMUNICATIONS (AMENDMENT) (No. 2) SCHEME, 1990. BORD TELECOM ÉIREANN, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 90 of the Postal and Telecommunications Services Act, 1983 (No. 24 of 1983) hereby makes the following Scheme: 1. This Scheme may be cited as the Telecommunications (Amendment) (No. 2) Scheme, 1990. 2.

(1)The collection citation "the Telecommunications Schemes, 1990" includes this Scheme.
(2)This Scheme shall come into operation on 1 October 1990 but Bord Telecom Éireann may postpone in whole or in part the application of this Scheme either generally or in respect of such groups of subscribers or areas of the State as it shall determine.
  1. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Scheme.
  2. The Telecommunication Scheme, 1990 ( S.I. No. 91 of 1990 ) is hereby amended by: ( a ) the addition of the following paragraph
(6)to Article 62 thereof: "
(6)Bord Telecom Éireann may provide a facility (in this Scheme referred to as "Direct Dialling Inwards") to telephone subscribers generally, or to such groups of telephone subscribers as it shall determine, whereby a telephone subscriber may receive telephone calls directly at internal extensions and in which the connection of calls to such internal extensions is effected by automatic switching. There shall be charged to the telephone subscriber and paid by him in respect of the Direct Dialling Inwards facility the appropriate charges specified in Section 1 of Part 6 of the First Schedule to this Scheme." ; and ( b ) the addition of the following paragraph 16 to Section 1 of Part 6 of the First Schedule thereto: " 16. Direct Dialling Inwards —Analogue (per block of 30 telephone exchange lines or part of such block): Connection Charge £10,500 Annual Subscription: £4,600 —Digital (per block of 30 telephone exchange lines or part of such block): Connection Charge £10,500 Annual Subscription £9,200 —Additional Annual Subscription in respect of extensions (per block of one hundred extensions or part of such block). £600 "; and (
