The Minister for Social Welfare, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 16 of the Social Welfare Act, 1990 (No. 5 of 1990), hereby orders as follows:— 1. This Order may be cited as the Social Welfare Act, 1990 (Section 15) (Commencement) Order, 1990. 2. Section 15 of the Social Welfare Act, 1990 shall come into operation on the 29th day of November, 1990. GIVEN under the Official Seal of the Minister for Social Welfare this 20th day of November, 1990. MICHAEL WOODS, Minister for Social Welfare. EXPLANATORY NOTE. This Order brings into effect the provisions of Section 15 of Social Welfare Act, 1990 , which amends the provisions of Part III of the Social Welfare Act, 1989 relating to the liability imposed on the spouses of certain social welfare recipients to contribute towards such payments, from 29th November, 1990.
