CORK HARBOUR COMMISSIONERS (ADDITIONAL LOCAL AUTHORITY MEMBERS) ORDER, 1991 WHEREAS the council of the county of Cork has agreed to assist the Cork Harbour Commissioners by guaranteeing, pursuant to section 7 of the Harbours Act, 1947 (No. 34 of 1947), repayment of the principal and payment of the interest of a loan to be raised by the Commissioners: AND WHEREAS the Minister for the Marine is of opinion that the Council should have representation in the membership of the Commissioners: NOW, I, JOHN P. WILSON, Tánaiste and Minister for the Marine, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 8 of the Harbours Act, 1946 (No. 9 of 1946), and the Communications (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1987 ( S.I. No. 91 of 1987 ), and after consultation with the Minister for the Environment, hereby order as follows: 1. This Order may be cited as the Cork Harbour Commissioners (Additional Local Authority Members) Order, 1991. 2. This Order shall have effect on and after the 7th day of July, 1991. 3. The council of the county of Cork shall appoint three additional local authority members of the Cork Harbour Commissioners. GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 31st day of May, 1991. JOHN P. WILSON, Tánaiste and Minister for the Marine. EXPLANATORY NOTE. The effect of this Order is to authorise Cork County Council to appoint three additional local authority members to Cork Harbour Commissioners.
