The Minister for Social Welfare, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 43 of the Social Welfare Act, 1991 (No. 7 of 1991), hereby orders as follows:— 1. This Order may be cited as the Social Welfare Act, 1991 (Section 43) (Commencement) Order, 1991. 2. Section 43 of the Social Welfare Act, 1991 shall come into operation on the 1st day of November, 1991. GIVEN under the Official Seal of the Minister for Social Welfare this 31st day of October, 1991. MICHAEL WOODS, Minister for Social Welfare. EXPLANATORY NOTE. This Order brings into effect the provisions of section 43 of the Social Welfare Act, 1991 , with effect from 1 November, 1991. Section 43 of the Social Welfare Act, 1991 replaces the provisions contained in sections 130 and 131 of the Social Welfare (Consolidation) Act, 1981 which prevent the concurrent payment of more than one social welfare payment.
