SALMON LICENCE DUTY (REFUND) REGULATIONS, 1991. I, JOHN P. WILSON, Minister for the Marine, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 4 of the Fisheries (Consolidation) Act, 1959 (No. 14 of 1959) and the Fisheries (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1977 ( S.I. No. 30 of 1977 ) (as adapted by the Tourism, Fisheries and Forestry (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1987) ( S.I. No. 82 of 1987 )), and for the purposes of section 16 of the Fisheries (Amendment) Act, 1991 (No. 26 of 1991) hereby make the following regulations. 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Salmon Licence Duty (Refund) Regulations, 1991. 2. In these Regulations: "the Act of 1991" means the Fisheries (Amendment) Act, 1991 (No. 26 of 1991); "regional board" means a regional fisheries board as defined by section 10
(3)of the Fisheries Act, 1980 . 3. Each regional board shall refund to the holder of a salmon rod (annual) ordinary licence or a composite freshwater angling ordinary licence for the years 1990 and 1991 who is issued with a salmon rod (annual) district licence or a salmon rod (annual) juvenile licence for the year 1991 free of charge under section 16
(5)of the Act of 1991, the duty paid for the former licence for
- Each regional board shall as regards the holder of a salmon road (annual) ordinary licence or a composite freshwater angling ordinary licence for the year 1991, but not for the previous year, who on surrendering that licence is issued with a salmon rod (annual) district licence or a salmon rod (annual) juvenile licence for the year 1991 under section 16
(7)of the Act of 1991, refund the difference between the duty for that licence and the duty for the surrendered licence.
- A refund shall be made on the condition that an application in writing is received by the regional board on or before 31 December

These regulations provide for Regional Fisheries Boards to make refunds of salmon licence duty to certain categories of salmon licence holders on condition that applications in writing are received by the regional boards on or before 31 December
