The Minister for the Environment, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 38

(5)of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1992 (No. 18 of 1992), hereby orders as follows:—
  1. This Order may be cited as the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1992 (Commencement) Order,
  3. The Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1992 , except insofar as section 37 and the Schedule relate to the repeal of section 70 of the Housing Act, 1966 (No. 21 of 1966), shall come into operation on the 1st day of September,
  4. GIVEN under the Official Seal of the Minister for the Environment, this 30th day of July,
  5. MICHAEL SMITH, Minister for the Environment. EXPLANATORY NOTE. This order brings into operation with effect from 1st September, 1992, all the provisions of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1992 , with the exception of the repeal of section 70 of the Housing Act, 1966 (bye-laws in relation to rented houses). That section will remain in operation pending the making of regulations under section 18 of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1992 .
