FOREIGN PARCEL POST AMENDMENT (NO. 27) SCHEME, 1992 AN POST, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 70 of the Postal and Telecommunications Services Act, 1983 (No. 24 of 1983), and with the consent of the Minister for Tourism, Transport and Communications, hereby makes the following Scheme: 1.

(1)This Scheme may be cited as the Foreign Parcel Post Amendment (No. 27) Scheme, 1992.
(2)This Scheme shall be operative from the 6th day of April,
  1. In this Scheme— "the Principal Warrant" means the Foreign Parcel Post Warrant, 1953 ( S.I. No. 418 of 1953 ). "Scheme No. 26" means the Foreign Parcel Post Amendment (No. 26) Scheme, 1991 ( S.I. No. 97 of 1991 ).
  2. The Third Schedule to the Principal Warrant is hereby amended by the substitution for the entries therein (inserted by Regulation 7 of Scheme No. 26) of the entries in the First Schedule to this Scheme.
  3. The First Schedule to the Foreign Parcel Post Amendment (No. 20) Scheme, 1985 ( S.I. No. 96 of 1985 ), is hereby amended by the substitution for the entries therein (inserted by Regulation 11 of Scheme No. 26) of the entries in the Second Schedule to this Scheme. FIRST SCHEDULE Customs Clearance Fee: On each parcel from outside the European Community where duty is payable: £1.50 Outgoing Express Delivery Fee: £3.00 Advice of Delivery Fee on outgoing insured parcel: £1.00 SECOND SCHEDULE International EMS Courier Service (to places outside the State) Rates available to every user of the service United Kingdom Each Item Weight not exceeding ½ kg. £15.00 Each additional ½ kg. or fraction thereof up to 5 kg. £1.60 Each additional ½ kg. or fraction thereof between 5 kg, and 30 kg. £1.00 Europe Each Item Weight not exceeding ½ kg. £17.00 Each additional ½ kg. or fraction thereof up to 5 kg. £3.25 Each additional ½ kg. or fraction thereof between 5 kg. and 30 kg. £2.00 Remainder of the World Each Item Weight not exceeding ½ kg. £22.00 Each additional ½ kg. or fraction thereof Up to 5 kg.   5. EXPLANATORY NOTE. This Scheme applies to the Foreign Parcel Post Service and shall be operative from the 6th day of April,
