ELECTORAL ACT, 1992 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1992. The Minister for the Environment in exercise of the powers conferred on by him by section 1
(6)of the Electoral Act, 1992 (No. 23 of 1992) hereby orders as follows:
- This Order may be cited as the Electoral Act, 1992 (Commencement) Order,
- On the 5th day of November, 1992 the provisions of the Electoral Act, 1992 set out in Column 1 of Part I of the Schedule to this Order shall come into operation to the extent respectively specified in Column 2 thereof.
- On the 5th day of November, 1992 section 5 of the Electoral Act, 1992 shall come into operation for the purpose of effecting the repeal of such of the enactment's specified in Part I of the First Schedule to that Act as are set out in Column 1 of Part II of the Schedule to this Order, to the extent respectively specified in Column 2 thereof.
