FISHERIES REGIONS (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1992. I, MICHAEL WOODS, Minister for the Marine, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 5 and 10 of the Fisheries Act, 1980 (No. 1 of 1980 ), and the Fisheries (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1977 ( S.I. No. 30 of 1977 ) (as adapted by the Tourism, Fisheries and Forestry (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1987 ( S.I. No. 82 of 1987 )), with the consent of the Minister for Finance hereby order as follows: 1.

(1)This Order may be cited as the Fisheries Regions (Amendment) Order, 1992.
(2)This Order shall come into operation on 27th day of October, 1992.
(3)The Fisheries Regions Orders, 1980 and 1981, and this Order may be cited together as the Fisheries Regions Orders, 1980 to
  2. In this Order "the Principal Order" means the Fisheries Regions Order, 1980 ( S.I. No. 324 of 1980 ).
  3. The Principal Order is hereby amended by the insertion of the following definition after the definition of "the Principal Act" in Article 2: " 'society' means a fisheries co-operative society established under section 4
(1)of the Fisheries (Amendment) Act, 1991 (No. 26 of 1991).". 4. The First Schedule to the Principal Order is hereby amended— ( a ) in column
(5)by the substitution of— (
  1. i)"22" for "19" (inserted by the Fisheries Regions (Amendment) Order, 1981 (S.I. No. 373 of 1981)) at reference number 2, (
  2. ii)"20" for "17" at reference numbers 1 and 3, (iii) "21" for "18" at each reference number where it occurs; ( b ) in column
(6)by the substitution of— (
  1. i)"15" for "14" (inserted by the Fisheries Regions (Amendment) Order, 1981 (S.I. No. 373 of 1981)) at reference number 2, (
  2. ii)"13" for "12" at reference numbers 1 and 3, (iii) "14" for "13" at each reference number where it occurs. and ( c ) in column
(7)by the substitution of "7" for "5" at each reference number. 5. The Schedule set out in the Schedule to this Order is hereby substituted for the Second Schedule to the Principal Order. SCHEDULE "SECOND SCHEDULE

(1)of Part I of the Fourth Schedule to the Principal Act or a licence to fish for salmon with rod and line and issued under Chapter II of Part VI of the Principal Act and who (in either case) is entitled to vote. 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2. A person who is the holder of an ordinary fishing licence authorising the use of a fishing engine of a kind specified in column
(2)of Part II of the Fourth Schedule to the Principal Act at reference number 5 and who is entitled to vote. 1 4 2 2 3 3 3 3. A person who is the holder of either an ordinary fishing licence authorising the use of a fishing engine of a kind specified in column
(2)of Part II of the Fourth Schedule to the Principal Act at reference numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8 or 9 or a licence issued under Chapter II of Part VI of the Principal Act and which relates to a draft net and who (in either case) is entitled to vote. 4 2 2 2 1 1 2 4. A person who is the holder of an ordinary fishing licence authorising the use of a fishing engine of a kind specified in column
(2)of Part II of the fourth Schedule to the Principal Act at reference numbers 10,11,12,13 (inserted by section 31 of the Fisheries (Amendment) Act, 1962 ) or 14 (inserted by the Fourth Schedule to the Act of 1980) and who is entitled to vote. 1 1 — 1 1 1 1
  1. A person who is liable to be rated under section 55 of the Principal Act in respect of a fishery and who is entitled to vote. 1 1 1 1 1 1 1
  2. A person who is an ordinary member of a society and who is registered as a trout angler with that society and who is entitled to vote. 1 2 2 2 2 2 1
  3. A person who is an ordinary member of a society and who is registered as a coarse fish angler with that society and who is entitled to vote. 1 1 1 2 1 1 2
  4. A person who is registered as a sea angler in the Register of Sea Anglers as provided for under section 58 of the Act of 1980 and who is entitled to vote. 1 1 1 1 1 1 1
  5. A person who is a life member of the former Inland Fisheries Trust Incorporated and who is registered as a trout angler or a coarse fish angler under section 58 of the Act of 1980 and who is entitled to vote. 1 1 1 1 1 1 1
