Article 1thereof. 6. The provisions of Article 7

(5)of the Principal Regulations shall not apply— (i) until the 30th day of June 1993, as respects the requirements of Commission Directive 92/8/EEC insofar as that Directive relates

The purpose of these Regulations is to update the principal regulations by giving effect to the Fourteenth and Fifteenth Commission Directives on cosmetic products (92/8/EEC and 92/86/EEC). The effect of the Regulations is to further safeguard public health in regard to the substances which may be contained in cosmetic products having regard to the advancement of scientific knowledge in cosmetology. The use of certain additional substances is permitted while the use of certain other substances is prohibited or permitted subject to certain restrictions and conditions.
