TOURISM, TRANSPORT AND COMMUNICATIONS (ALTERATION OF NAME OF DEPARTMENT AND TITLE OF MINISTER) ORDER, 1993. The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 6
(1)of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) Act, 1939 (No. 36 of 1939), hereby order as follows: 1.
(1)This Order may be cited as the Tourism, Transport and Communications (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1993.
(2)This Order shall come into operation on the 22nd day of January,
- The name of the Department of State, the present name whereof is, in the Irish language, an Roinn Turasóireachta, Iompair agus Cumarsaide and, in the English language, the Department of Tourism, Transport and Communications, is hereby altered, in the Irish language, to that of an Roinn Iompair, Fuinnimh agus Cumarsaide and, in the English language, to that of the Department of Transport, Energy and Communications.
- The title of the Minister having charge of a Department of State, whose present title is, in the Irish language, an tAire Turasóireachta, Iompair agus Cumarsáide and, in the English language, the Minister for Tourism, Transport and Communications, is hereby altered, in the Irish language, to that of an tAire Iompair, Fuinnimh agus Cumarsáide and, in the English language, to that of the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications.
- In any enactment— ( a ) references to the Department of Tourism, Transport and Communications shall be construed as references to the Department of Transport, Energy and Communications; ( b ) references to the Minister for Tourism, Transport and Communications shall be construed as references to the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications.
