HOUSING (TRANSFER OF FUNCTIONS) (NO. 2) ORDER, 1993. In exercise of the powers conferred on the Minister for the Environment by section 23
(3)of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1992 (No. 18 of 1992), which powers are delegated to me by the Environment (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) (No. 2) Order, 1993 ( S.I. No. 128 of 1993 ), I, EMMET STAGG, Minister of State at the Department of the Environment, hereby order as follows:—
- This Order may be cited as the Housing (Transfer of Functions) (No. 2) Order,
- This order shall come into operation on the 1st day of October,
- The functions of the council of the county of Wexford as respects sections 2 to 4 and sections 6 and 7 of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1992 , are, in the case of the borough of Wexford, hereby transferred to the Mayor, Aldermen and Burgesses of Wexford.
- The Mayor, Aldermen and Burgesses of Wexford shall, as respects the said borough, perform the functions hereby transferred separately from the functional area of the council of the county of Wexford. 5.
(1)Expenses in relation to the performance of the functions hereby transferred shall be defrayed out of the municipal fund of the borough of Wexford.
(2)In this article "municipal fund" has the meaning assigned to it by the Local Government Act, 1946 (No. 24 of 1946). DATED this 30th day of September, 1993. This order transfers to Wexford Corporation, as respects their functional area, certain functions performed by Wexford County Council in relation to shared ownership leases and the granting of assistance to approved housing bodies.
