AMALGAMATION OF MARRIAGE REGISTRARS' DISTRICTS ORDER, 1993. An tArd-Chláraitheoir, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Section 8 of the Registration of Marriages (Ireland) Act, 1863, hereby orders as follows: 1. This Order may be cited as the Amalgamation of Marriage Registrars' Districts Order, 1993. 2. For the purposes of Section 57 of the Marriages (Ireland) Act, 1844, as amended by Section 8 of the Registration of Marriages (Ireland) Act, 1863, the existing district of Ballinasloe shall be added to, be and become part of the district of Galway. 3. This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of January, 1994. GIVEN under my hand at Oifig an Ard-Chláraitheora, Joyce House, Lombard Street East, Dublin 2, this 9th day of December, 1993. This Order amalgamates certain districts of civil registrars of marriage. From the effective date, the district of Galway will include all of the former Ballinasloe district.
