INLAND POST AMENDMENT (NO. 49) SCHEME, 1993 AN POST, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 70 of the Postal and Telecommunications Services Act, 1983 (No. 24 of 1983), and with the consent of the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications, hereby makes the following Scheme: 1.

(1)This Scheme may be cited as the Inland Post Amendment (No. 49) Scheme, 1993.
(2)This Scheme shall be operative from the 5th day of April,
  1. In this Scheme— "The Principal Warrant" means the Inland Post Warrant, 1939 ( S.I. No. 202 of 1939 ). "Scheme No. 47" means the Inland Post Amendment (No. 47) Scheme, 1991 ( S.I. No. 95 of 1991 ). "Scheme No. 48" means the Inland Post Amendment (No. 48) Scheme, 1992 ( S.I. No. 257 of 1992 ).
  2. Section 8 of the First Schedule to the Principal Warrant, as inserted by Regulation 3 of Scheme No. 48, is hereby amended by the substitution for the entries therein of the entries in the First Schedule to this Scheme.
  3. Part III of the Fourth Schedule to the Principal Warrant, as inserted by Regulation 11 of Scheme No. 47 is hereby amended by the substitution for the entries therein of the entries in the Second Schedule to this Scheme.
  4. The Fifth Schedule to the Principal Warrant, as inserted by Regulation 4 of Scheme No. 48, is hereby amended by the substitution for the entries therein of the entries in the Third Schedule to this Scheme.
  5. The First Schedule to the Inland Post Amendment (No. 31) Scheme, 1985 ( S.I. No. 94 of 1985 ), as inserted by Regulation 6 of Scheme No. 48, is hereby amended by the substitution for the entries therein of the entries in the Fourth Schedule to this Scheme.
