HARBOUR RATES (DROGHEDA HARBOUR) ORDER, 1994. I, DAVID ANDREWS, Minister for the Marine, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 104 of the Harbours Act, 1946 (No. 9 of 1946), and the Communications (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1987 ( S.I. No. 91 of 1987 ), and after due compliance with section 106 of the said Harbours Act, 1946 , hereby order as follows: 1.

(1)This Order may be cited as the Harbour Rates (Drogheda Harbour) Order, 1994.
(2)This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of February,
  1. The Harbour Rates (Drogheda Harbour) Order, 1947 ( S.R. & O. No. 228 of 1947 ), shall have effect as if— ( a ) the following were substituted for the First Schedule (inserted by the Harbour Rates (Drogheda Harbour) Order, 1988 ( S.I. Tonnage rates on vessels other than vessels described at paragraphs 2 and 3 below ( a ) On every ton of the net register tonnage or of half the gross tonnage whichever is the greater of every vessel (except as hereinafter provided) entering the Harbour for the purpose of shipping, transhipping or discharging cargo, or cargo and passengers, a sum of ... ... ... 61p ( b ) On every ton of the net register tonnage or of half the gross tonnage whichever is the greater of every vessel entering the Harbour for the purpose of embarking or disembarking passengers or on an excursion trip or through stress of weather, or for repairs, or for salvage operations, or for a supply of stores for ships consumption only and not discharging or loading cargo, a sum of ... ... 42p (
  1. c)On every ton of the net register tonnage or half the gross tonnage whichever is the greater of every vessel remaining or lying in the Harbour after the expiration of a consecutive period of 6 weeks, a sum for each week of 22p 2.
