AmendmentsLeasuithe I, MÁIRE GEOGHEGAN-QUINN, T.D., Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 12 of the Police Forces Amalgamation Act, 1925 (No. 7 of 1925), the Public Service (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1987 ( S.I. No. 81 of 1987 ), and section 1 of the Garda Síochána Act, 1958 (No. 14 of 1958), with the sanction of the Minister for Finance and after due compliance with subsection

(2)of the said section 12, hereby order as follows:
  1. This Order may be cited as the Garda Síochána Pay Order,
  2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order. 3.
(1)This Order shall— (
  1. i)in relation to the rates and scales set out in the First Schedule hereto, be deemed to have come into operation on the 1st day of January, 1992. (
  2. ii)in relation to the rates and scales set out in the Second Schedule hereto, be deemed to have come into operation on the 1st day of March, 1992. (iii) in relation to the rates and scales set out in the Third Schedule hereto, be deemed to have come into operation on the 1st day of September, 1992. (
  3. iv)in relation to the rates and scales set out in the Fourth Schedule hereto, be deemed to have come into operation on the 1st day of January, 1993.
