No. 207 of 1995. INVESTMENT INTERMEDIARIES ACT, 1995 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1995. I, RUAIRÍ QUINN, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1
(2)of the Investment Intermediaries Act, 1995 (No. 11 of 1995), hereby make the following Order:
- This Order may be cited as the Investment Intermediaries Act, 1995 (Commencement) Order,
- The Investment Intermediates Act, 1995, shall come into operation on the 1st day of August, 1995, other than in respect of— ( a ) member firms of the body commonly known as the "Irish Unit of the International Stock Exchange of the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland Limited", ( b ) Part IV , and ( c ) section
- Part IV (other than section 28
(4)) of the Investment Intermediaries Act, 1995 , shall come into operation on the 1st day of November,

- RUAIRÍ QUINN, Minister of Finance. EXPLANATORY NOTE. This Order commences the Investment Intermediaries Act, other than Part IV and section 51, from 1 August 1995; and commences Part IV, other than section 28
(4), from 1 November 1995. The Act is not being commenced in respect of member firms of the Irish Stock Exchange, which will be covered by the Stock Exchange Act, 1995 which (apart from a number of sections being commenced from 1 August 1995) is expected to be brought into effect fairly shortly.
