BOVINE DISEASES (LEVIES) (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1996 (SECTIONS 6 AND 7) (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1996 I, IVAN YATES, Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 6 and 7 of the Bovine Diseases (Levies) (Amendment) Act, 1996 (No. 5 of 1996) hereby order as follows: 1. This Order may be cited as the Bovine Diseases (Levies) (Amendment) Act, 1996 (Sections 6 and 7) (Commencement) Order, 1996. 2. The 1st day of June, 1996 is hereby fixed as the day on which sections 6 and 7 of the Bovine Diseases (Levies) (Amendment) Act, 1996 (No. 5 of 1996), shall come into operation. GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 30th day of May, 1996. IVAN YATES, Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry. EXPLANATORY NOTE. This Order provides for the bringing into operation of sections 6 and 7 of the Bovine Diseases (Levies) (Amendment) Act, 1996 . Section 6 increases the fines in respect of offences under the Bovine Diseases (Levies) Acts, 1979 to 1996 and Section 7 increases the fines in respect of offences under the Diseases of Animals Acts, 1966 to 1996.
