EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES (IMPORTATION OF BOVINE ANIMALS AND PRODUCTS OBTAINED FROM BOVINE ANIMALS FROM THE UNITED KINGDOM) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1996 I, Ivan Yates, Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act, 1972 (No. 27 of 1972) and for the purpose of giving effect to Commission Decision No. 96/362/EC
(1)of 11 June 1996 as far as bovine semen is concerned, hereby make the following Regulations:—
(1)O.J. No. L139 of 12.6.1996, p. 17. 1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Importation of Bovine Animals and Products obtained from Bovine Animals from the United Kingdom) (Amendment) Regulations, 1996. 2. The European Communities (Importation of Bovine Animals and Products obtained from Bovine Animals from the United Kingdom) Regulations, 1996 ( S.I. No. 87 of 1996 ) are hereby amended by the substitution of the following for subparagraph (
- b)of Regulation 3:— "(

EXPLANATORY NOTE These Regulations implement Commission Decision No. 96/362/EC of 11 June 1996 as far as bovine semen is concerned by removing the prohibition on the importation of that product from the United Kingdom.
