FOREIGN PARCEL POST AMENDMENT (NO. 32) SCHEME, 1997 AN POST, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 70 of the Postal and Telecommunications Services Act, 1983 (No. 24 of 1983), and with the consent of the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications, hereby makes the following Scheme: 1.

(1)This Scheme may be cited as the Foreign Parcel Post Amendment (No. 32) Scheme, 1997.
(2)This Scheme shall be operative from the 7th day of April,
  2. In this Scheme— "The Principal Warrant" means the Foreign Parcel Post Warrant, 1953 ( S.I. No. 418 of 1953 ). "Scheme No. 31" means the Foreign Parcel Post Amendment (No. 31) Scheme, 1996 ( S.I. No. 299 of 1996 ).
  3. The Second Schedule to the Principal Warrant is hereby amended by the substitution for the entries therein (inserted by Regulation 3 of Scheme No. 31) of the entries in the First Schedule to this Scheme.
  4. The First Schedule to the Foreign Parcel Post Amendment (No. 20) Scheme, 1985 ( S.I. No. 96 of 1985 ), as inserted by Regulation 6 of the Foreign Parcel Post Amendment (No. 30) Scheme, 1995 ( S.I. No. 101 of 1995 ), is hereby amended by the substitution for the entries therein of the entries in the Second Schedule to this Scheme.
  5. Part II of the Fourth Schedule to the Principal Warrant, is hereby amended by the substitution for the entries therein (inserted by Regulation 5 of Scheme No. 31) of the entries in the Third Schedule to this Scheme. FIRST SCHEDULE Maximum Postage: Parcel (except an Air Mail Parcel) £140 for a parcel not exceeding 30 Kg Air Mail Parcel. £15 per 500g SECOND SCHEDULE EMS COURIER SERVICE (To destinations outside the State) Rates available to every user of the service Zone A (United Kingdom) First 500g Each extra 500g to 5 Kg.
