(6)(c) of the Electoral Act, 1997 (No. 25 of 1997), hereby orders as follows:
  1. This Order may be cited as the Electoral Act, 1997 (Commencement) (No. 2) Order,
  3. Parts II and VII and sections 76 , 80 , 81 , 82 of the Electoral Act, 1997 , shall come into operation on the date of the making of this Order. GIVEN under the Official Seal of the Minister for the Environment, this 11th day of June,
  4. BRENDAN HOWLIN, Minister for the Environment. EXPLANATORY NOTE. This order brings into operation the provisions of the Electoral Act, 1997 relating to the establishment of a Constituency Commission, the registration of specified categories of electors and postal voters, the expansion of the eligibility criteria for entry in the supplement to the register of electors and the introduction of supplements to the postal and special voters lists. It also commences sections 80, 81 and 82 which amend certain provisions of the Electoral Act, 1992 and the Local Elections Regulations,
