HARBOURS ACT, 1996 (COMMENCEMENT) (NO. 2) ORDER, 1997 I, SEÁN BARRETT, Minister for the Marine, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1
(2)of the Harbours Act, 1996 (No. 11 of 1996), hereby order as follows:
- This Order may be cited as the Harbours Act, 1996 (Commencement) (No. 2) Order,
- The 16th day of June, 1997, is hereby fixed as the day on which the following provisions of the Harbours Act, 1996 (No. 11 of 1996), shall, other than in relation to Arklow Harbour Company, Port of Waterford Company and Wicklow Port Company, come into operation, namely— ( a ) section 55; ( b ) section 56 in so far as it relates to sections 55, 58, 59 and 72; ( c ) sections 58, 59 and 72; ( d ) in so far as they are not in operation immediately before the making of this Order, the First to the Sixth Schedules. This Order fixes the 16th day of June, 1997 as the day on which certain pilotage provisions of the Harbours Act, 1996 come into operation in relation to port companies other than Arklow Harbour Company, Port of Waterford Company and Wicklow Port Company. The Order also fixes the 16th day of June, 1997 as the day on which the First to the Sixth Schedules to the Harbours Act, 1996 come into operation (in so far as they were not in operation immediately before the making of this Order) in relation to port companies other than Arklow Harbour Company, Port of Waterford Company and Wicklow Port Company.
