PRIZE BONDS (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1997 National Treasury Management Agency The National Treasury Management Agency, in exercise of the powers conferred upon it by the National Treasury Management Agency Act, 1990 , hereby makes the following Regulations: 1. In these Regulations, "the 1993 Regulations" means the Prize Bonds Regulations, 1993 ( S.I. No. 337 of 1993 ). 2. In relation to prizes awarded in any draw held after I December 1996, Regulation 19 of the 1993 Regulations is hereby amended by the substitution of the following paragraph for paragraph
(4): "
(4)For the purposes of paragraphs
(5)and
(6)of this Regulation, the "additional period" means the period of 144 calendar months calculated from the first day of the month following the month in which the death occurred provided however that the NTMA shall have the right to extend such period beyond 144 calendar months where, in its absolute discretion, it considers that it is appropriate to do so." 3.
(1)These Regulations may be cited as the Prize Bonds (Amendment) Regulations, 1997.
(2)The 1993 Regulations and these Regulations may be cited together as the Prize Bonds Regulations, 1993 and
