(4)of the Regional Technical Colleges Act, 1992 (No. 16 of 1992)(as adapted by the Education (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1997 ( S.I. No. 430 of 1997 )), and following consultation with the governing bodies of the Regional Technical College, Athlone, the Regional Technical College, Carlow, the Regional Technical College, Dundalk, the Regional Technical College, Galway, the Regional Technical College, Letterkenny, the Regional Technical College, Limerick, the Regional Technical College, Sligo, the Regional Technical College, Tallaght, the Regional Technical College, Tralee and Dun Laoghaire College of Art and Design, hereby order as follows: 1. This Order may be cited as the Regional Technical Colleges Act, 1992 (Change of Name of College) Order, 1998. 2.
(1)The name of the college known, in the English language, as the Regional Technical College, Athlone, and, in the Irish language, as Coláiste Teicniúil Réigiúnach, Baile Átha Luain, is hereby changed, in the English language, to Athlone Institute of Technology and, in the Irish language, to Institiúid Teicneolaíochta Bhaile Átha Luain.
(2)The name of the college known, in the English language, as the Regional Technical College, Carlow, and, in the Irish language, as Coláiste Teicniúil Réigiúnach, Ceatharlach, is hereby changed, in the English language, to Institute of Technology, Carlow and, in the Irish language, to Institiúid Teicneolaíochta, Ceatharlach.
(3)The name of the college known, in the English language, as the Regional Technical College, Dundalk, and, in the Irish language, as Coláiste Teicniúil Réigiúnach, Dún Dealgan, is hereby changed, in the English language, to Dundalk Institute of Technology and, in the Irish language, to Institiúid Teicneolaíochta Dhún Dealgan.
(4)The name of the college known, in the English language, as the Regional Technical College, Galway, and, in the Irish language, as Coláiste Teicniúil Réigiúnach, Gaillimh, is hereby changed, in the English language, to Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology and, in the Irish language, to Institiúid Teicneolaíochta na Gaillimhe-Maigh Eo.
(5)The name of the college known, in the English language, as the Regional Technical College, Letterkenny, and, in the Irish language, as Coláiste Teicniúil Réigiúnach, Leitir Ceanainn, is hereby changed, in the English language, to Letterkenny Institute of Technology and, in the Irish language, to Institiúid Teicneolaíochta Leitir Ceanainn.
(6)The name of the college known, in the English language, as the Regional Technical College, Sligo, and, in the Irish language, as Coláiste Teicniúil Réigiúnach, Sligeach, is hereby changed, in the English language, to Institute of Technology, Sligo and, in the Irish language, to Institiúid Teicneolaíochta, Sligeach.
(7)The name of the college known, in the English language, as the Regional Technical College, Tallaght, and, in the Irish language, as Coláiste Teicniúil Réigiúnach, Tamhlacht, is hereby changed, in the English language, to Institute of Technology, Tallaght and, in the Irish language, to Institiúid Teicneolaíochta, Tamhlacht.
(8)The name of the college known, in the English language, as the Regional Technical College, Tralee, and, in the Irish language, as Coláiste Teicniúil Réigiúnach, Trá Lí, is hereby changed, in the English language, to Institute of Technology, Tralee and, in the Irish language, to Institiúid Teicneolaíochta, Trá Lí.
(9)The name of the college known, in the English language, as the Regional Technical College, Limerick, and, in the Irish language, as Coláiste Teicniúil Réigiúnach, Luimneach, is hereby changed, in the English language, to Limerick Institute of Technology and, in the Irish language, to Institiúid Teicneolaíochta Luimnigh.
(10)The name of the college known, in the English language, as Dun Laoghaire College of Art and Design, and, in the Irish language, as Coláiste Ealaíne agus Deartha, Dún Laoghaire, is hereby changed, in the English language, to Dún Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology, and, in the Irish language, to Institiúid Ealaíne, Deartha agus Teicneolaíochta Dhún Laoghaire. 3. The First Schedule to the Regional Technical Colleges Act, 1992 (No. 16 of 1992), is hereby amended in column
