EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES (AGRICULTURAL OR FORESTRY TRACTORS TYPE APPROVAL) REGULATIONS, 1998. I, Joe Walsh, Minister for Agriculture and Food, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Section 3 of the European Communities Act, 1972 (No. 27 of 1972) and for the purpose of giving effect to Directive 97/54/EC
(1)of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 September 1997, in so far as this Directive applies to the type approval of agricultural or forestry tractors and components, hereby make the following Regulations:

- These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Agricultural or Forestry Tractors Type Approval) Regulations, 1998 and shall come into operation on the 23rd day of September,
- Schedule I (inserted by the European Communities (Agricultural or Forestry Tractors Type Approval (No. 2) Regulations, 1988 ( S.I. No. 361 of 1988 ) and amended by the European Communities (Agricultural or Forestry Tractors Type Approval) Regulations, 1989 ( S.I. No. 288 of 1989 ) and by the European Communities (Agricultural or Forestry Tractors Type Approval) Regulations, 1990 ( S.I. No. 338 of 1990 ) and by the European Communities (Agricultural or Forestry Tractors Type Approval) Regulations, 1997 ( S.I. No. 446 of 1997 )) to the European Communities (Agricultural or Forestry Tractors Type Approval) Regulations, 1979 ( S.I. No. 137 of 1979 ) is hereby amended by the substitution of the following item for item no. 3:— "3 76/432/EEC as amended by 97/54/EC 6 April 1976 O. J. No. L. 122/1 of 8.5.76 23 September 1997 O. J. No. L. 277/24 of 10.10.97 design Maximum speed and load platforms" Given under my official seal this 24th day of September
