STOCK TRANSFER (FORMS) REGULATIONS, 1998. I, Charlie McCreevy, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 5 of the Stock Transfer Act, 1963 (No. 34 of 1963) (as amended by section 8 of the Companies (Amendment) Act, 1977 (No. 31 of 1977), and section 83 of the Central Bank Act, 1997 (No. 16 of 1997)) hereby make the following regulations: 1.

(1)These Regulations may be cited as the Stock Transfer (Forms) Regulations, 1998.
(2)These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of January,
  2. The "Act of 1963" means the Stock Transfer Act, 1963 (No. 34 of 1963).
  3. Section 2 of the Act of 1963 is hereby amended by the substitution in subparagraph (i) of subsection
(1)(
  1. d)(inserted by Regulation 4(
  2. a)of the Stock Transfer (Forms) Regulation, 1991 ( S.I. No. 77 of 1991 ), of "an instrument in a form set out in the First Schedule to this Act, or an instrument in the form set out in Part II of the Second Schedule of this Act, that -", for "an instrument in the form set out in Part II of the Second Schedule to this Act that -". 4.
(1)The First Schedule to the Act of 1963 is hereby amended by the addition of the form set out in the Schedule to these Regulations.
(2)The form set out in the Schedule to these Regulations may be used as an alternative to such other form as is set out in the First Schedule to the Act of 1963.
