AmendmentsLeasuithe The Minister for the Environment and Local Government in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 1

(9)of the Local Government Act, 1994 (No. 8 of 1994), hereby orders as follows:—
  1. This Order may be cited as the Local Government Act, 1994, (Commencement) Order,
  3. Part IV of the Local Government Act, 1994 shall come into operation on the day of the holding of the annual meeting of a local authority to be held next after the making of these Regulations.
  4. Section 12 and Part V of the Local Government Act, 1994 shall come into operation on the day of the making of an order under section 21 of that Act in respect of the local elections to be held next after the making of this Order.
  5. Section 4
(1)of and the First Schedule to the Local Government Act, 1994 shall come into operation to the extent specified in the First Schedule to this Order on the day of the holding of the annual meeting of a local authority to be held next after the making of these Regulations. 5. Section 4
(1)of and the First Schedule to the Local Government Act, 1994 shall come into operation to the extent specified in the Second Schedule to this Order on the day of the making of an order under section 21 of that Act in respect of the local elections to be held next after the making of this Order.
