AmendmentsLeasuithe I, JOE WALSH, Minister for Agriculture and Food, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act, 1972 (No. 27 of 1972), for the purpose of giving effect to Council Directive No. 66/401/EEC of 14 June 19661 as amended, hereby make the following Regulations: 1.

(1)These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Seed of Fodder Plants) (Amendment) Regulations, 1999 and shall come into operation on the 1st day of July 1999.
(2)The collective citation “European Communities (Seed of Fodder Plants) Regulations, 1981 to 1999” shall include these Regulations. 2.
(1)In these Regulations— “the Principal Regulations” means the European Communities (Seed of Fodder Plants) Regulations, 1981 ( S.I. No. 112 of 1981 ); “the Regulations of 1986” means the European Communities (Seed of Fodder Plants) (Amendment) Regulations, 1986 ( S.I. No. 259 of 1986 ) as amended by the Regulations of 1987 to 1998; “the Regulations of 1987 to 1998” means the European Communities (Seed of Fodder Plants) (Amendment) Regulations, 1987 ( S.I. No. 171 of 1987 ), the European Communities (Seed of Fodder Plants) (Amendment) Regulations, 1988 ( S.I. No. 161 of 1988 ), the European Communities (Seed of Fodder Plants) (Amendment) Regulations, 1989 ( S.I. No. 173 of 1989 ), the European Communities (Seed of Fodder Plants) (Amendment) Regulations, 1990 ( S.I. No. 214 of 1990 ), the European Communities (Seed of Fodder Plants) (Amendment) Regulations, 1991 (S.I. No. 110 of 1991), the European Communities (Seed of Fodder Plants) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations, 1991 ( S.I. No. 356 of 1997 ) and the European Communities (Seed of Fodder Plants) (Amendment) Regulations, 1998 ( S.I. No. 294 of 1998 ). 3. Regulation 20 (inserted by the Regulations of 1986) of the Principal Regulations (as amended by the Regulations of 1987 to 1998) is hereby amended as follows: (
  1. a)by the substitution for the entry in Part A (which is headed “Certification Fees”) of the following entry: Grass Seed Rate per 50 kg £ Perennial Ryegrass, New varieties and others 0.86 Italian Ryegrass 0.58 Perennial Ryegrass, High persistence 1.02 Clover 1.26 Oilseed Rape 0.75 Linseed 0.75 Grass Seed Mixtures 0.37 (+0.07p per label) Field Peas and Beans 0.64 Arable Silage Mixtures 0.09 (+0.07p per label) and (
  2. b)by the substitution for the entry in Part B (which is headed “Seed Testing Fees”) of the following entry: “ Samples Rate per Sample Straights £ —Complete Test (Germination and Purity) 11.29 —Germination only 7.74 —Purity only 5.47 —Moisture 5.33 —Biochemical Test 15.47 Seed Mixtures —Complete Test (Germination and Purity) 12.99 —Germination only 9.66 —Purity only 6.71 ” GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 30th day of June, 1999.
