(1)(b) and
(10)of section 10 of the Fisheries Act, 1980 (No. 1 of 1980), and the Fisheries (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1977 ( S.I. No. 30 of 1977 ) (as adapted by the Marine (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1997 ( S.I. No. 301 of 1997 )), and with the consent of the Minister for Finance, hereby order as follows: 1.
(1)This Order may be cited as the Eastern Fisheries Region (Alteration of Boundaries) Order, 1999.
(2)This Order shall come into operation on the 2nd day of December

In this Order “the Carlingford Area” has the same meaning as it has in paragraph 5 of Part 6 of Annex 2 to the Agreement between the Government of Ireland and the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland establishing Implementation Bodies done at Dublin on the 8th day of March, 1999, the text of which is set out in the Schedule to the British-Irish Agreement Act, 1999 (No. 1 of 1999).
  3. The boundaries of the Eastern Fisheries Region are hereby altered by the exclusion of the Carlingford Area from that region and the said boundaries, as so altered, are indicated on a map— (a) bearing the words “Eastern Fisheries Region”, and (b) bearing the Official Seal of the Minister and the date on which such seal was affixed, prepared, pursuant to section 10
(12)of the Fisheries Act, 1980 (No. 1 of 1980), for the purposes of this Order, and deposited in the Office of the Minister.
  1. Article 3 and the First Schedule of the Fisheries Regions Order, 1980 ( S.I. No. 324 of 1980 ), shall be construed in accordance with, and have effect subject to, this Order. The Minister for Finance consents to the making of this Order. GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 2nd day of December,
