AmendmentsLeasuithe I, TOM KITT, Minister of State at the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 2
(1)of the Consumer Credit Act, 1995 (No. 24 of 1995) (as adapted by the Enterprise and Employment (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1997 ( S.I. No. 305 of 1997 )), and the Enterprise, Trade and Employment (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) (No. 2) Order, 1997 ( S.I. No. 330 of 1997 ), hereby make the following regulations: 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Consumer Credit Act, 1995 (Section 2) Regulations, 2000. 2. It is hereby prescribed that the definition of “credit institution” contained in section 2
(1)of the Consumer Credit Act, 1995 (No. 24 of 1995), shall (by virtue of paragraph (g) of that definition) include Tusa Financial Services Limited: Provided that the APR charged by such person in respect of any credit granted to a consumer is less than 23 per cent. EXPLANATORY NOTE (This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation.) These Regulations, further supplement the definition of “credit institution” in the Consumer Credit Act, 1995 to include Tusa Financial Services Limited.
