(5)of the National Beef Assurance Scheme Act, 2000 (No. 2 of 2000), hereby order as follows:
- This Order may be cited as the National Beef Assurance Scheme Act, 2000 (Commencement) Order,
- The 29th day of May, 2000, is hereby appointed as the day on which Part V of the National Beef Assurance Scheme Act, 2000 , shall come into operation. GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 11th day of May,
- JOE WALSH, Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development. EXPLANATORY NOTE. (This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation.) The effect of this Order is to bring into operation the provisions of Part V of the National Beef Assurance Scheme Act, 2000 , regarding the increase of penalties under the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 , the Livestock Marts Act, 1967 and the Slaughter of Animals Act,
- Part V also amends the provisions relating to the refusal or revocation of licences under the Livestock Marts Act, 1967 .
