AmendmentsLeasuithe The Courts Service, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 26 of the Courts of Justice Act, 1953 (No. 32 of 1953), as amended by section 43 of the Courts (Supplemental Provisions) Act, 1961 (No. 39 of 1961), by section 16 of the Courts Act, 1971 (No. 36 of 1971) and by section 29 of the Courts Service Act, 1998 (No. 8 of 1998) and after consultation with the President of the District Court, hereby orders as follows: 1.

(1)This Order may be cited as the District Court Districts and Areas (Amendment) and Variation of Days (Kanturk and Mallow) Order, 2000.
(2)This Order shall come into operation on 29th November, 2000. 2. The First Schedule of the District Court (Areas) Order, 1961 ( S.I. No. 5 of 1961 ) is hereby amended by— (
  1. a)the insertion at reference number 46 (as amended by District Court Districts and Areas (Amendment) and Variation of Days Order ( S.I. No. 27 of 1999 )) of the following: “ County of Cork District Court Area of Mallow Mallow— Second and Fourth Tuesday in each month at 10.30 a.m. The area comprising the District Electoral Divisions of Ballyclogh, Ballynamona, Caherduggan, Carrig (Mallow), Dromore, Kilmaclenine, Kilshannig, Knockantota, Mallow Rural, Mallow North Urban, Mallow South Urban, Rahan, Buttevant, Churchtown, Doneraile, Imphrick, Liscarrol, Skahanagh, Streamhill and Templemary in the county of Cork And 2nd Wednesday in each month at 10.30 a.m. ”, and (
  2. b)the substitution for the matter in columns

(5)at reference number 43 (inserted by District Court Districts and Areas (Amendment) and Variation of Days Order ( S.I. No. 27 of 1999 )) of the following: “ Kanturk— First and Third Wednesday in each month at 11 a.m. The area comprising the District Electoral Divisions of Allow, Ballyhoolahan, Banteer, Barleyhill, Barnacurra, Bawncross, Boherboy, Castlecor, Castlemagner, Clonfert East, Clonfert West, Clonmeen, Coolclogh, Glenlara, Gortmore, Greenane, Kanturk, Kilbrin, Kilmeen, Knockatooan, Knocktemple, Meens, Nad, Newmarket, Roskeen, Rosnalee, Rowls, Skagh, Tincoora and Williamstown in the county of Cork. ”, 3. The Second Schedule of the District Court (Areas) Order, 1961 ( S.I. No. 5 of 1961 ), is hereby amended by— (
  1. a)the insertion at reference number 41 (as amended by District Court Districts and Areas (Amendment) and Variation of Days Order ( S.I. No. 27 of 1999 )) of the following: “ County of Cork District Court Area of Mallow Mallow-- Second and Fourth Tuesday in each month at 10.30 a.m. The area comprising the District Electoral Divisions of Ballyclogh, Ballynamona, Caherduggan, Carrig (Mallow), Dromore, Kilmaclenine, Kilshannig, Knockantota, Mallow Rural, Mallow North Urban, Mallow South Urban, Rahan, Buttevant, Churchtown, Doneraile, Imphrick. Liscarrol, Skahanagh, Streamhill and Templemary in the county of Cork And 2nd Wednesday in each month at 10.30 a.m. ”, and (

No. 254 of 1999 )) of the following: “ Mallow:— Each Monday at 3 p.m. The area comprising the aggregate of the District Court area of Blarney, Carrigaline, Cobh, Fermoy, Kanturk, Mallow, Midleton and Mitchelstown as described in column
(5)of the First Schedule to the Principal Order at reference numbers 30, 32, 38, 41, 43, 46, 47, and
  1. ”,

Business transacted in the District Court which is initiated and is not completed before the commencement of this Order shall be continued and completed as if this Order had been in force at the time at which such business had been initiated.
