No. 277/2001 - Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 (Foot-And-Mouth Disease) (Restriction on Imports From The United Kingdom) (No. 2) (Amendment) Order, 2001 AmendmentsLeasuithe I, Joe Walsh, Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 3 and 30 of the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 (No. 6 of 1966) (as adapted by the Agriculture and Food (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1999 ( S.I. No. 307 of 1999 )), hereby order as follows - 1. This Order may be cited as the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 (Foot-and-Mouth Disease) (Restriction on Imports from the United Kingdom) (No. 2) (Amendment) Order, 2001. 2. Subject to Article 3 of this Order, the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 (Foot-and-Mouth Disease) (Restriction on Imports from the United Kingdom) (No. 2) Order, 2001 ( S.I. No. 201 of 2001 ) is amended in Article 2

(1)by the substitution for the definition - (
  1. a)of “restricted areas” of the following definition — “‘restricted areas’ means Great Britain;”, and (
  2. b)of “United Kingdom” of the following definition — “‘United Kingdom’ means the United Kingdom other than the restricted areas and Northern Ireland.”. 3. Article 2 of this Order shall not apply to Article 3 of the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 (Foot-and-Mouth Disease) (Restriction on Imports from the United Kingdom) (No. 2) Order, 2001 ( S.I. No. 201 of 2001 ) except in so far as the aforesaid Article 3 relates to animals of the porcine species consigned to slaughter.
