(3)of the Social Welfare Act, 1997 (No. 10 of 1997)) of the Social Welfare (Consolidation) Act, 1993 (No. 27 of 1993), hereby makes the following Regulations: Citation and construction. 1.
(1)These Regulations may be cited as the Social Welfare (Liable Relative) (Amendment) (Euro) Regulations, 2001.
(2)These Regulations and the Social Welfare (Liable Relative) Regulations, 1999 to 2000 shall be construed together as one and may be cited as the Social Welfare (Liable Relative) Regulations, 1999 to
  1. Commencement.
  2. These Regulations come into operation on 1 January,
  3. Amendments consequential on the introduction of the euro.
  4. The Social Welfare (Liable Relative) Regulations, 1999 ( S.I. No. 138 of 1999 ) are amended by - (a) the substitution in article 5
(1)for “£1” of “EUR 1” and for “50p” of “50 cent” in each place where those amounts occur, and (b) the substitution in article 5
(2)for “£2” of “EUR 2.50”. GIVEN under the Official Seal of the Minister for Social, Community and Family Affairs, this 10th day of December,
