(2)of the Health (Nursing Homes) Act, 1990 (No. 23 of 1990) (as adapted by the Health (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1997 ( S.I. No. 308 of 1997 )), which said powers are delegated to me by the Health and Children (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order, 2000 ( S.I. No. 32 of 2000 ) I, Dr. Tom Moffatt T.D., Minister of State at the Department of Health and Children hereby make the following Regulations:-
- These Regulations may be cited as the Nursing Homes (Subvention) (Amendment) Regulations,
- These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of April,
- The Nursing Homes (Subvention) Regulations, 1993 ( S.I. No. 227 of 1993 ) are hereby amended by the substitution for the Fourth Schedule of the following:- FOURTH SCHEDULE MAXIMUM RATES OF SUBVENTION (PER WEEK) Level of Dependency (of the person seeking a subvention) Maximum Rates of Subvention (Per Week) €Euro As assessed under the First Schedule Dependency Assessment Procedure As per level of dependency Medium Dependency £90 €114.30 High Dependency £120 €152.40 Maximum Dependency £150 €190.50 Given under the Official Seal of the Minister for Health and Children this 20th day of March,
- Tom Moffatt Minister of State at the Department of Health and Children EXPLANATORY NOTE (This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation) These Regulations amend the Nursing Homes (Subvention) Regulations, 1993, ( S.I. No. 227 of 1993 ) by increasing the rates of subvention payable from £70 to £90 in respect of medium dependency, from £95 to £120 in respect of high dependency and from £120 to £150 in respect of maximum dependency.
