(2)of the Harbours Act, 1996 (No. 11 of 1996) which said Act was amended by the Harbours (Amendment) Act, 2000 (No. 21 of 2000)(which aforementioned Acts are hereinafter cited collectively as the Harbours Acts, 1996 and 2000), as adapted by the Marine (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1997 ( S.I. No. 301 of 1997 ), hereby order as follows: 1. This Order may be cited as the Harbours Acts, 1996 and 2000 (Commencement (No. 5) Order, 2002. 2. The 9th day of May, 2002, is hereby fixed as the day on which the following provisions of the Harbours Acts, 1996 and 2000, including those provisions as amended, shall come into operation in relation to Dundalk Port Company namely___ (
  1. a)Parts I, II and III (
  2. b)Part IV (in so far as Part IV is not in operation immediately before the making of this Order pursuant to the Harbours Act, 1996 (Commencement) (No. 2) Order, 1997 ( S.I. No. 253 of 1997 )) (
  3. c)Part V and VI GIVEN under my official seal this 3rd day of May, 2002 Frank Fahey, Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources. Explanatory Note (This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation). This Order fixes the 9th day of May, 2002 as the day on which certain provisions of the Harbours Acts, 1996 and 2000 come into operation (in so far as they are not in operation immediately before the making of this Order) in relation to the Dundalk Port Company. Certain provisions of the Harbours Act, 1996 were commenced in the Harbours Act, 1996 (Commencement)(No. 2) Order, 1997 ( S.I. No. 253 of 1997 ). These were section 55, section 56 in so far as it relates to sections 55, 58, 59 and 72 sections 58, 59 and 72 and the First to Sixth Schedules of the Harbours Act, 1996 in so far as they were not in operation before the making of the Order.
