No. 208/2002 - Rules of the Superior Courts (No. 1) (Remuneration of Committees of Wards of Court), 2002 AmendmentsLeasuithe We, the Superior Courts Rules Committee, constituted pursuant to the provisions of the Courts of Justice Act, 1936 , section 67, and reconstituted pursuant to the provisions of the Courts of Justice Act, 1953 , section 15, by virtue of the powers conferred upon us by the Courts of Justice Act, 1924 , section 36, and the Courts of Justice Act, 1936 , section 68 (as applied by the Courts (Supplemental Provisions Act, 1961 , section 48), and the Courts (Supplemental Provisions) Act, 1961 , section 14, and of all other powers enabling us in this behalf, do hereby make the annexed Rules of Court. No. 208 of 2002 RULES OF THE SUPERIOR COURTS (NO. 1) (REMUNERATION OF COMMITTEES OF WARDS OF COURT), 2002 1. Rule 65 of Order 67 of the Rules of the Superior Courts shall be deleted and the following rule 65 shall be substituted therefor:- “65. A Committee of the estate or person may be allowed remuneration on such terms and subject to such conditions (if any) as the Judge may from time to time determine”. 2. This rule shall come into operation on the 13th day of June, 2002. 3. This rule shall be construed together with the Rules of the Superior Courts 1986 to 2001 and may be cited as the Rules of the Superior Courts (No. 1) (Remuneration of Committees of Wards of Court) 2002. Explanatory Note (This note is not part of the instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation). The purpose of this Rule is to remove the requirement in Order 67 Rule 65 of the Rules of the Superior Courts that special circumstances or special cause should exist before remuneration would be allowed to a Committee of the Person or Estate of a Ward of Court.
