(1)of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) Act 1939 (No. 36 of 1939), hereby order as follows: 1.
(1)This Order may be cited as the Tourism, Sport and Recreation (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2002.
(2)This Order comes into operation on 19 June 2002. 2. The name of the Department of State, the present name of which is, in the Irish language, an Roinn Turasóireachta, Spóirt agus Áineasa and, in the English language, the Department of Tourism, Sport and Recreation, is altered, in the Irish language, to that of an Roinn Ealaíon, Spóirt agus Turasóireachta and, in the English language, to that of the Department of Arts, Sport and Tourism. 3. The title of the Minister having charge of the Department of State, whose present title is, in the Irish language, an tAire Turasóireachta, Spóirt agus Áineasa and, in the English language, the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation, is altered, in the Irish language, to that of an tAire Ealaíon, Spóirt agus Turasóireachta and, in the English language, to that of the Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism. 4. In any enactment or any instrument made under an enactment - (
  1. a)references to the Department of Tourism, Sport and Recreation shall be construed as references to the Department of Arts, Sport and Tourism; (
  2. b)references to the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation shall be construed as references to the Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism.
