No. 485/2002 - European Communities (Labelling of Beef and Beef Products) (Amendment) Regulations, 2002 AmendmentsLeasuithe I, Joe Walsh, Minister for Agriculture and Food, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Section 3 of the European Communities Act, 1972 (No. 27 of 1972), and for the purpose of giving effect to Articles 11 to 24 of the European Parliament and Council Regulation (EC) No. 1760/2000 of 17 July 20001 and Commission Regulation (EC) No. 1825/2000 of 25 August 20002 , hereby make the following regulations: 1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Labelling of Beef and Beef Products)(Amendment) Regulations, 2002. 2. The European Communities (Labelling of Beef and Beef Products) Regulations 2000 ( S.I. No. 435 of 2000 ) are amended by — (
4. a)substituting for Regulation 15 - “15. An offence under these Regulations may be prosecuted by — (
5. a)the Minister, (
6. b)the local authority in whose functional area the offence is committed, or (
7. c)the health board in whose functional area the offence is committed.”. (
8. b)substituting “€ 2,500” for “£1,500” in Regulation 13. GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 16th day of October 2002.
