Regulations, 1990 (Amendment) Regulations, 2002 AmendmentsLeasuithe The Minister for the Environment and Local Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 5 of the Housing Act, 1966 (No. 21 of 1966), as amended by section 24 of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1992 (No. 18 of 1992), and by section 4 of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1979 (No. 27 of 1979), as amended by section 25 of the Housing Act, 1988 (No. 28 of 1988), with the consent of the Minister for Finance, hereby makes the following Regulations: 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Housing (New House Grant etc.) Regulations, 1990 (Amendment) Regulations, 2002. 2. The following article is hereby substituted for article 4 of the Housing (New House Grant etc.) Regulations, 1990 ( S.I. No. 34 of 1990 ). “4.

(1)This part shall apply to grants by the Minister under section 4 of the Act of 1979, as amended by the Act of 1988, for the provision of new houses.
(2)A grant under this part shall not be paid other than in cases where (
  1. a)an application for payment of a grant is (
  2. i)approved prior to 14 November 2002; or (
  3. ii)received by the Minister for the Environment and Local Government on or before 14 November 2002, or (
  4. b)(
  5. i)where a contract to purchase or a contract to build is entered into on or before 14 November 2002; or (
  6. ii)in the case of a “self build” house, where the foundations are poured on or before 14 November 2002; and an application for payment of a grant under (b above is received by the Minister for the Environment and Local Government on or before 4 December 2002. (
  7. c)In all cases covered by (
  8. a)and (
