No. 647/2002 - Foreign Post Amendment (No. 36) Scheme, 2002 AmendmentsLeasuithe An Post, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 70 of the Postal and Telecommunications Services Act 1983 (No 24 of 1983) as amended by Regulation 4
(1)of the European Communities (Postal Services) Regulations 2000 (S.I. 310 of 2000) hereby makes the following Scheme:
- This Scheme may be cited as the Foreign Post Amendment (No 36) Scheme
- This Scheme shall be operative with effect from the 2nd day of April
- In this Scheme- “Principal Warrant” means the Foreign Post Warrant of 1949 ( S.I. no. 267 of 1949 ) “Scheme No. 34” means the Foreign Post Amendment (No. 34) Scheme 1998 ( S.I. No. 132 of 1998 )
- All rates and charges for letters and postal packet in this Scheme pertain to postal packets outside the “reserved area” as defined by the European Community (Postal Services) Regulations 2000 (S.I. 310 of 2000).
- The entries in the First Schedule to this Scheme are hereby substituted for the entries in the First Schedule (as inserted by the Regulation 15 of Scheme No. 34) to the Principal Warrant insofar as they relate to the letters and postal packets referred to in Regulation 4 of this Scheme.
- Entry No. 4 of the Second Schedule to the Principal Warrant (as inserted by Regulation 7 of Scheme No. 33) is hereby amended by the substitution for the entry therein contained of the entries in the Second Schedule to this Scheme.
- The entries in the Fourth Schedule to the Principal Warrant (as inserted by Regulation 7 of Scheme No. 33) are hereby replaced by the entries in the Third Schedule to this Scheme.
