No. 139/2003 - European Communities (Revocation of Financial Sanctions Concerning Angola) Regulations, AmendmentsLeasuithe I, Charlie McCreevy, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972), and for the purpose of giving full effect to Council Regulation (EC) No. 146/20031 of 27 January 2003 hereby make the following regulations: 1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Revocation of Financial Sanctions concerning Angola) Regulations 2003. 2. The European Communities (Angola)(Sanctions) Regulations, 2002 ( S.I. No. 74 of 2002 ) is hereby revoked. Explanatory Note (This note is not part of the Statutory Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation). The effect of this Regulation is to revoke Statutory Instrument No. 74 of 2002 which provided for penalties for breach of financial sanctions imposed by Council Regulation (EC) No. 1705/982 of 28 July, 1998 concerning the interruption of certain economic relations with Angola.
